Consultation & Practice Building

CONSULTATION

I offer consultation to individuals, couples, and larger family or work groups. A consultation is typically sought when an individual or group has questions of a psychological, emotional, or interactional nature. Consultations can be about oneself or about a family member, partner, colleague, or work group. Consultation typically involves a short-term focus on a particular issue or question, whereas psychotherapy involves ongoing work with the focus being on the patient(s).

Typical consultation issues might include:

• concern about a loved one & seeking advice about how to approach the issue and the individual
• addressing problematic relationships in a family or work group
• general questions about psychotherapy
• resolving conflicts
• increasing workplace morale & productivity

Even if you do not see your particular issue or circumstance listed above, I encourage you to get in touch to discuss your consultation needs and goals. If I am not the best person to help with your situation I will always try to make an appropriate referral.

BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL THERAPY PRACTICE

I offer special consultations to beginning therapists around the practical and psychological challenges of building a private practice. I also provide specific tips and advice around creating a website and marketing your practice online.

I have assisted many new clinicians, as well as seasoned therapists looking to make a change, in setting up, developing or promoting their practice online. I have experience helping with both the emotional and practical aspects of promoting a therapy business. This includes: creating an online presence, developing your niche, and encouraging an authentic approach in marketing your work.

I offer a range of services, from basic advice and development of ideas to building websites, SEO, and cost-effective online marketing tools and guidelines.

Please contact me if you are interested in these services or if you have questions about how I might be helpful.
